WORKING WITH OTHERS
We work collaboratively with organisations involved in Jersey law, including:
-
the Government of Jersey, where our point of contact is the Department for Community and Constitutional Affairs
-
the States of Jersey Legislation Advisory Panel
-
the Law Society of Jersey (the professional body representing the island’s legal profession)
-
the Institute of Law (the island’s law school) and
-
the Jersey and Guernsey Law Review (a law journal publishing articles on the law of Channel Islands).
Our work also brings us into contact with the other law reform bodies across the British Islands, with whom we meet annually:
-
and the Law Reform Commission of Ireland.
The Northern Ireland Law Commission was a former member until 2015.

The Jersey Law Commission is a member of the Commonwealth Association of Law Reform Agencies (CALRAS).

All legislation in Jersey, and much case law, is available on the Jersey Legal Information Board’s website, part of the international Free Access to Law Movement (FALM).
